The Philippine Startup Challenge (PSC) is an annual startup competition that aims to encourage and inspire Filipinos to create innovative and relevant ICT Products—it is now in its 7th year. PSC 7 conducted an in-person completion for startups at Holy Angel University last October 20, 2022.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)

The world is moving towards digitalization at a rapid pace. Every sector is trying to adopt digital technologies to make their processes more efficient and faster. The ones who are able to successfully adopt these technologies and make use of them will be the ones who will succeed in the long run and startup challenges and competitions like this contribute to the growing number of digitalized processes.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

Our project was judged by professionals in the industry. These constructive criticisms are vital in making our current and future projects to be effective in solving social problems. These constructive criticisms are vital in making our current and future projects to be effective in solving social problems. It is only through being constantly aware of our shortcomings and being willing to change and improve ourselves that we can hope to make a real difference in the world. Through these criticisms, we can learn to be more effective in our work, and make sure that our efforts are truly making a positive impact on society.

IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)

Being surrounded by amazing people who wanted to stir a societal change is both overwhelming and satisfying. The fact that they were all so driven and passionate about making a difference was inspirational, and it made me want to work even harder to effect change. It was gratifying to know that I was surrounded by like-minded individuals who cared about the same issues I did, and it made me feel hopeful for the future. Knowing that we were all in this together was a comforting thought, and it motivated me to keep fighting for what I believed in.

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities

The only thing I regret not doing was socializing with other participants in hopes of making new acquaintances. There should've been an allotted time for this essential aspect of participating in events like this.
